This week of 23rd-27th November was Road Safety Week. The girls learnt about the green cross code and how to cross and walk along a road safely. They were also excited to have parents come in to share their learning. The girls made bird feeders for the winter birds, recycled wellington boots as planters for their daffodil bulbs and collected sticks to make picture frames - some were triangles, some were squares and some were rectangles. They also went on a scavenger treasure hunt and collected lots of different natural treasures from the garden, which they used for sorting and counting activity in class. The girls also had an extra friend join them on one of their walks. As they approached the Green Garden, to Mrs Scott's horror, there was little Squirrel Nutkin tucking into the food the girls were using to make our bird feeders. He has been a pesky little scavenger this autumn!
