On Wednesday 9th December, members of our College Interact Club (Jess D., Lily S. and Angela M.) were invited to the Christmas breakfast meeting with Rotary Club Cardiff Breakfast at Whitchurch Golf Club alongside Interactors from The Cathedral School, Whitchurch High School and Whitchurch Primary School, to talk about their fundraising successes so far this academic year. Howell’s Interactors have raised in excess of £1,500 so far through their College Mixer, Staff v. College netball match, cake sales, Christmas Fair stall and Year 13 Christmas social. The Rotarians were very complimentary about the good work carried out by all the Interactors and were very keen to pledge the support of the Rotarians in their upcoming endeavours.
Breakfast was followed by a raffle and the annual highlight – the Christmas Chocolate Quiz. This put our students’ problem-solving skills under extreme pressure – a correct answer meant winning a bar of chocolate! Who could resist?
