Holocaust Memorial Service at Llandaff Cathedral

On 27th January, James, Harri and Isra (Year 12) attended the Holocaust Memorial Service at Llandaff Cathedral. At the service, they heard from a survivor of Auschwitz concentration camp, various charity workers, public figures and even some school students, all recounting their life-changing experiences in relation to either the Holocaust or subsequent disasters of a similar nature. Importantly, this service was not only dedicated to the souls of those who had perished in the Holocaust, but also to those who had been casualties of other instances of ethnic cleansing, such as the victims of the Srebrenitsa Massacre. Isra wrote that she was grateful for the chance to have been part in this important event, remembering the millions of people whose lives were taken by such atrocities.
