On the night of 4th February, Year 5 took part in the second International Harry Potter event. They joined over 6,000 other events going on across the world, to celebrate the fantastic books by J.K. Rowling. ‘A Night of Spells’ was the theme of this year’s special night and the Great Hall was bedecked in all things ‘Harry Potter’! The Year 5 girls enjoyed making potions, designing their house banner and flying over the Hogwarts grounds on broomsticks! They finished the evening with a treasure hunt, feast and quiz before retiring to the Senior School library to watch the second of the Harry Potter films. The girls slept well, dreaming of their broomstick rides, until they were awoken by the smell of bacon sandwiches to set them up for the rest of the day. Great fun was had by all!
