On the evening of Friday, March 11th, Howell's once again hosted the Rotary Young Interviewer Competition, where students from several local schools take on the role of a television interviewer, questioning a prominent person about his views on a topical subject. This year Martin Pollard, Chief Executive of the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, was in the hot-seat, answering questions on Wales and the European Union. He was keen to differentiate between the neutral stance on the upcoming referendum taken by the WCIA, and his personal views as a pro-European and a member of Plaid Cymru. Sian-Azilis E of Year 13 conducted a confident and knowledgeable interview, skilfully probing and challenging Mr Pollard's views, and we are delighted that she was judged the winner of the competition. Well done, Sian!
