Sports news, 6th - 8th June

Monday 6th June saw the Year 10 tennis team complete their match against The Cathedral School. Keerthika S and Caitilin C won a thrilling doubles match 7-5 in what were very hot conditions! This meant the girls have topped Division 2 of the Cardiff Schools’ League. Congratulations to the girls!

 

 

 

 

On Tuesday 7th June the Year 7 and 8 rounders teams played The Cathedral School. The Year 7 rounders teams had two tough games. The As narrowly lost out by only half a rounder. It was very close game and well fought, the girls improving in the field as the game went on. Player of the Match was Rhianne H. The Bs played brilliantly, winning their game 18-16½. Player of the Match was Georgie S. Well done to all the girls involved. The Year 8A matches were won 12½ -5½ and 12½-4½ . Congratulations to Jess J who was awarded Player of the Match. The Year 8B Matches were won 9-7½ and 17-16. Congratulations to Olivia D. who was awarded Player of the Match. 

Congratulations to Eadie D (Year 8) and Renee M (Year 10) who have been selected to represent Cardiff & the Vale of Glamorgan Schools’ District at the Welsh Schools' National Track and Field Championships 2016, which will be held at Cardiff International Sports Stadium, Leckwith, Cardiff on Saturday 2nd July 2016. Eadie will be taking part in the Junior Girls Relay Squad and Renee will be taking part in the Middle Girls’ 100m and 4x100m relay squad.
