CROSS COUNTRY
On Tuesday 11th October, 17 students competed in the South Wales Regional School Cross Country Championships. Unlike previous meetings, which just involved schools from Cardiff and the Vale, schools from all over South Wales took part. This meant there were more runners and greater competition.
In the Senior race, Year 11+, Louise S (Year 11) ran an excellent race finishing in 18th place. In the Junior race, Year 7 + 8, over 300 girls competed. Fiona B (Year 8) finished strongly and came an outstanding 5th place. In the middle race, Year 9 + 10, Holly B (Year 10) came an excellent 17th place, followed closely by Sophie S (Year 9), who came in 19th. Zoe H ran well to finish in 33rd place.
Well done to Fiona B and Louise S, who have been invited to attend a South Wales Endurance event development day as a result of their position.
