TENNIS
The Year 9 tennis team played in the South West AEGON Schools Tennis Competition on Thursday 13th October. Both teams won three matches each, therefore it went to a sudden death of first to ten points! Howell’s narrowly missed out in the final match but played with exception throughout! Congratulations to Evie O, Sophie S, Katie G, Robyn D. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CROSS COUNTRY
Congratulations to Holly B (Year 9) who was also invited to the South Wales Regional Endurance Day after her performance last week in the Cross Country event, along with Fiona B (Year 8) and Louise S (Year 11).

NETBALL
On Wednesday 12th October, the Year 8 A and B Netball team played away against Radyr.
The A team played exceptionally, working well as a team and timing their movements, but after a close match they lost 4-5. Players of the match went to Amelia P and Annie L.
The B team came away with a 3-3 draw. Everyone played brilliantly with some great play coming down from the defence all the way to attack. The players of the match went to Zoe H and Olivia T. Well played, girls!
Congratulations to all students involved: Ellora M, Fiona B, Siya G, Jennifer E, Amelia P, Annie L, Abhavya A, Annika A, Rosie T, Zahra T, Sri O, Fiona W, Kitty N, Emma S, Zoe H and Olivia T.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Thursday 13th October, two Year 9 Netball teams entered the Year 9B Cardiff and Vale Netball Tournament playing against Bishop of Llandaff, Glantaf, Bro Edern, Corpus Christi and Llantwit Major. The B team won 3 games out of 5, with Bethan L scoring with exception throughout the games. The C team won two of their games. Special mention goes to Eadie D who stepped in as GA after an injury and despite no experience in this position scored 4 goals throughout the tournament! 

Congratulations to all the girls who played; Olivia D, Sadie E, Georgia MP, Esther P, Lucy C, Bethan L, Ava F, Ella K, Larisa B, Freya P, Eadie D, Pascha T, Shayanna S, Holly P, Alice H.

The Year 10/11 Netball team played an exceptional match against Bro Edern on Tuesday 17th September with two wins! The A team won 13-2 with excellent goals scored by Hannah RS and Emily Calvert (Year 11). Player of the match was awarded to Charlotte H (Year 10). The B team won 14-5 with Megan V and Mali B scoring fantastic goals. POM was awarded to Natasha S (Year 10). Special mention goes to Talia G (Year 10) who was outstanding as GD with great interceptions and tips! Well done to all the girls who played; Playing for Year 11 were Hannah RS, Emily C, Jessica B. On the Year 10 team were Charlotte H, Natasha S, Talia G, Megan V, Mali B, Florence M, Aya K. 
Two Year 7 Netball teams played Plasmawr on 18th September. We drew 3-All in one game and won 4-1 in the other game. Bella M and Sophie G were awarded player of the match. Congratulations to all the girls who played; Nadia ST, Sophie D, Bella M, Mathilda S, Rebecca L, Niamh S, Taylor P, Rebecca D, Caitlin E, Mathilda T, Ruby S, Susanna F, Rosie T, Sophie G, Katie J, Annie S, Olivia H. 

DANCING
Jasmine W (Year 7) and her partner Olivia travelled to Monmouth this weekend to complete in The Best Of Britain Latin Competition, after four elimination rounds we are immensely proud to announce they brought home the title for Best Of Britain in All Girls Latin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FENCING
Congratulations to Louise S (Year11) who has been selected to fence in Grenoble as part of the GBR U17 cadet squad in November.

HOCKEY
The Year 9 Hockey team played Glantaf and won 2-1 on 18th October. It was a great performance in what proved to be a very high standard of hockey! Special mention goes to Nia H who picked up player of the match following a number of great saves, including a penalty stroke!
