The Junior School Goes Green

The Eco Crusaders and Charity Champions from Reception to Year 6 began our ‘Go Green’ day with an assembly about the importance of looking after our planet and the Size of Wales charity that we were supporting today.  We also had the girls in Reception to show their open homework based on the rainforest.  As the youngest members of our community said, "We need to protect our rainforests, because the animals won’t have anywhere to live and they will be sad!” So began our day, full of activities and fun: from making bird feeders; to recycling plastic bottles to making musical instruments; to planting bulbs in the garden ready for spring; to QR code quizzes in the green garden; and a Go Green Day quiz in the junior playground.  The message was clear and it was one we all agreed with – that if we all work together, we can make the world a better place for all. We are delighted to say that together we have raised the sum of £178.56 to go towards The Size of Wales Charity.
