On Tuesday 8th September, Sophie S., Alicia L., Robyn D. and Evie O. won the second round of the U.14 Aegon Schools' Tennis tournament at the David Lloyd Centre. They beat Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls and Thomas Picton (Haverfordwest) convincingly in the round robin stages, each by 4-0. The girls qualified for the finals where they had a close-fought match against Stanwell School in Penarth. The two school tied in the number of matches that they won but Howell's were the overall winners as they won 23 games against Stanwell's 18.
The girls have a bye in the next round and look forward to November when they will play schools from South West England. Well done to all the girls!
