The girls worked hard to recognise and write the letters S, D, T, M and A and learnt how to blend and segment words using the five sounds. They enjoyed hearing the story about 'The Three Bears', and sorted items and developed mathematical language related to size. They listened to the story ‘Funnybones’, about three skeletons, which led to lots of discussions about their skeletons. The light table has lots of x-rays on it. They thought about all the different movements their skeletons help them to do in PE.
