College Honours Lecture - Visit of the Israeli Youth Delegation

On Thursday 10th November, Howell's College hosted its third Honours Lecture of 2016-17. We were joined by Israeli students Rotem Kalal and Stav Ronan, who gave an informative presentation on life in Israel today for a typical teenager. They gave insight into family and school life and talked about the geography of Israel, its system of government and its major festivals. Our students were then invited to ask questions, and a very lively discussion on the position of Israel in the Middle East and on the world stage ensued. The Israeli students are visiting a number of British schools during their stay in the UK and commented that this was the most intellectually stimulating question time that they had encountered on their trip.
