On Friday 2nd December, we kicked off the festive season in style with the Howell’s Christmas Fair which took place in the Sports Hall, Dining Room and Day Room. More than 40 stall holders, including many run by Howell’s students, set up shop for the afternoon, and students, parents, grandparents, staff, alumni, governors and friends enjoyed visiting the wide selection of stalls. Father Christmas had parked his sleigh in the Drama Room, and a queue of Junior School girls were all delighted to have a selfie with him. The Christmas Café, run by a wonderful team of parent volunteers, was a huge hit with visitors who stopped off for a drink and cake. The cakes were all generously provided by parents. Howell’s radio station was in attendance throughout the afternoon, broadcasting a selection of Christmas tunes and interviews with students and staff. Many thanks to the team of staff, parents, students and stall holders for all they did to make it such a special occasion.
