Hywelian returns to Howell’s

Tuesday 11^th July was a very special day in Howell’s when we welcomed alumna, Mary Smith, back to visit. Mary was accompanied by her carer Sian from the Ty Coch Care home in Llanishen. She won a scholarship to attend Howells where she was educated between the ages of 11 and 18 and left 1960. She then returned to Howell’s when she was 25 and taught French for two years. During their visit, Mary and Sian enjoyed a tour of the school before having tea and Welsh cakes with Mrs Davis and Mrs Chyba. It was wonderful to welcome Mary back, hear stories and see wonderful photographs of her time in school. We hope to welcome you back to Howell’s soon, Mary and Sian!
