Year 5 had a fantastic time at PGL Tregoyd House this week. Arriving Monday afternoon after a bus ride through Bannau Brycheiniog, the girls jumped straight into their fun-filled adventure, exploring the grounds and enjoying activities such as abseiling and rifle shooting. After a hearty dinner, the girls, in teams, participated in a fun activity called ‘Capture the Flag’. They were very excited to spend their first night in the dorms and had a late night, eventually sleeping by 11pm.
Tuesday started with a cooked breakfast of sausage, beans, and hash browns. After breakfast, the group was divided into their activity groups. The activities included aeroball, zip wire, orienteering, and archery. In the evening, the children sang around the indoor campfire as the weather was blustery and rainy. We read a little of "Cogheart" before settling down for an earlier bedtime.
With much effort, the children were prised out of bed on Wednesday morning for another action-packed morning of fun on the challenge course or climbing. The girls were a credit to Howell's during their stay. Many thanks to PGL Tregoyd for hosting the children.
